Dear friends,

Thank you for all your support and love over the past few months. We deeply appreciate you being a part of our community.

We’re reaching out to share some important updates with you. We are excited to share the news that 30A Babysitters will reopen starting May 15th.

We want to share with you some of the adjustments that we’ve had to make to our childcare services. This is out of an abundance of caution for our staff, our clients, and our community.

Please limit the number of adults speaking to or standing in close proximity to the sitter. All adults are required to wear a face mask while in the same room as the sitter. The sitter is likewise required to wear a mask at all times while inside.

All children 5 and up will be required to wear a mask at all times while indoors (all staff members will be required to wear masks as well). If a child under 5 is capable of wearing a mask we will ask for the child to do so. Please bring your own masks and have your own masks for the children. We do not have masks at this time to offer to you. Again, you and children 5 and up must wear a mask while inside. Mask wearing is not required during outdoor activities such as biking and swimming. However should the child need to approach the sitter at less than 6 feet the child will be asked to put their mask on during the time the child is close to the sitter. The sitter will wear a mask outside while less than 6 feet of the children. We ask that the sitter be allowed to sit at the pools edge instead of in the pool with the children. Therefore swimming will only be allowed for children who need no assistance while in the water. If your child needs assistance to swim please choose a different activity for the sitter and the child.

Children must have temperatures checked and logged at the start of the booking (even if they are sleeping), if any child has a fever for any reason we will not be able to provide sitter service. Sitters will have their own thermometers for their own use. We request that families provide thermometers for themselves and their children to use for now, as they are out of stock everywhere. We are working on accumulating a forehead thermometer for each staff member as they become available. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation on this.

If the sitter has already arrived when the temperature is found to be elevated, the booking will be canceled and the sitter will be compensated in full by the client. Because of this policy please monitor your childrens temperature regularly prior to your booking time. Once your sitter has started her commute to your booking her fees cannot be waived for any reason.

It is best to have meals for the children prepped ahead of time so that the sitter will only need to minimally handle food items.

Children will be instructed to wash their hands for a minimum of 30 seconds (1 full ABC song) at the very beginning of the booking and prior to all activities and eating. Anytime the sitter asks for a child to wash their hands the child must comply. Please prepare children ahead of time that they will be asked to wash their hands often.

Nanny bags - Sitters will need children to be extra patient during down times and changing activities, as the sitter will need extra time to wipe down all items the children have used prior to putting them back in her nanny bag and moving to a new activity.

We will offer dum-dums to children for good behavior, mask wearing, hand washing, and just in general for fun.

If a child begins to exhibit symptoms of an illness during the booking we will ask that a parent or guardian return immediately to care for the child, the sitter will need to be paid her full rate for the minimum time even if the time needs to be cut short because of illness.

We sincerely appreciate your support. This situation has certainly brought on some challenges, but we are determined to rise to the occasion with a positive attitude and high level of professionalism. As these circumstances are ever changing, they will require our constant attention and reevaluation. We ask that you please be patient with us as make the necessary adjustments. Please know that we are dedicated to providing a warm and uplifting experience for all of our clients and children, and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!

Warm wishes,

30A Babysitters
